Thar Desert which is popularly known as the Greta Indian Desert extends into two North West states of India Gujarat and Rajasthan and Pakistan on the eastern region. This arid region of Thar Desert extends in an area which is 400 kilometers wide and 800 kilometers long. This desert is also bordered by two famous rivers namely Sutlej and Indus in the western side while Aravalli range on the eastern side. There are over 700 plant species in this region from which 107 plants species is grass alone. The animals in this region are also important.
