She had minor roles at first, later her performances in “All About Eve” and “The Asphalt Jungle” in 1950 earned her critical acclaim. She was one of the most popular actresses of Hollywood. She faced unstable relationships and a rocky career. Her mystic death was highly publicized. It was among the most sensational news of all times. Her alleged affair with John F. Kennedy was not revealed until after her death.
