Thar Desert

Thar Desert which is popularly known as the Greta Indian Desert extends into two North West states of India Gujarat and Rajasthan and Pakistan on the eastern region. This arid region of Thar Desert extends in an area which is 400 kilometers wide and 800 kilometers long. This desert is also bordered by two famous rivers namely Sutlej and Indus in the western side while Aravalli range on the eastern side. There are over 700 plant species in this region from which 107 plants species is grass alone. The animals in this region are also important. This land of broken rocks, scrub vegetation and shifting sand dunes has the tourist in great experience since it is entirely different from the usual. Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner are the three important cities of Rajasthan which are the part of this magnificent Thar Desert.

Cannes is a popular place for couture, Carlton and the optional beaches. It is also one of the best places where the famous Coco Chanel received the tan which sparked a passion worldwide with the darkest and deepest shade one could perhaps achieve. However, this place is more renowned due to the yearly held Cannes International Film Festival. People have not known more about Cannes than the annually held film festival because everyone of more keen to know who wear’s what and who receives the award rather than the interesting places in Cannes. Martinez Hotel in Carlton is the place where you can see the celebrities galore, flashing of cameras and controlled chaos which is beyond imagination.

Golgotha

Golgotha is just outside the walls of the old city of Jerusalem in Israel. It is named in the New Testament as the place where Jesus was crucified. Jesus was brought before the roman governor of the province, Pontius Pilate and accused of blasphemy. Pilate could find nothing to support the charge and offered to release Jesus. But the chief priests and elders persuaded the people to demand his death. Jesus was beaten by the roman soldiers dressed in a scarlet cloak and crowned with thorns to mock him as “king of the Jews”. Afterwards he was forced to carry his own cross through the streets of Jerusalem to Golgotha. The name Golgotha means the place of a skull.
