Love for Chinese pie!

Chinese Pie -What a bizarre name to be given to a French Canadian dish! The dish is a pot pourri of grounded beef, canned corn, mashed potatoes, and sautéed diced onions. The dressing of the dish includes sprinkling of paprika and diced bell paper along side pickled eggs or beetroots. The flavour is even better when tasted with Ketchup. Referred to as ‘pâté chinois’, this Chinese pie owes its origin to the French Canadian railway workers who got accustomed to the cottage pie of English extraction baked and made by the Chinese workers as per their English bosses’ orders.
